About

"Down Boy!!" "Arf!" is a redraw meme format based on a panel from an issue of an Archie Comics publication that shows the character Veronica Lodge yelling, "Down boy!!" at Archie and pointing to the floor while he obeys, shown in mid-sit saying, "Arf!" like a dog. The panel was first posted online to Tumblr as early as July 2021 and was further popularized as a meme in late 2024 through early 2025, becoming the subject of redraws that year. The image has also been used as an image macro format. Purportedly, the panel comes from a story titled "The Man Hunter" in Archie's Girls Betty and Veroni
