About
"I Am Placing Blocks and Shit" refers to a song parodying Jack Black's singing cadence set to the tune of "Wet Hands" by C418 on the Minecraft soundtrack. The song, which opens with the lyrics, "I am placing blocks and shit 'cause I'm in fucking Minecraft," is inspired by Jack Black being cast as the protagonist of the upcoming Minecraft movie and was created by X / Twitter user @RainingKetchup in March 2024. It was further popularized on sites like TikTok in July 2024, inspiring memes.
